Getting ready for your first MyDojo Kickboxing class? We can't wait to meet you! Here's what you need to know to show up ready to crush your 45-minute workout.
Arrive Early
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class so we can help you get set up with gloves and hand wraps.
What to Wear
Comfortable workout clothes and bare feet—we train barefoot like traditional martial arts studios.
Gear You'll Need
Hand wraps and boxing gloves are required. We'll help you secure the right gear before your first class.
Class Structure
Warm-up → Kickboxing bag work → Core exercises → Cooldown. Your coach guides you every step of the way.
Real Techniques
You'll learn authentic kickboxing skills—exciting, empowering moves that keep you engaged and help you reach your goals.
Your Pace
Take each exercise at your own pace. Your coach will provide modifications and support whenever you need it.

Do I need any experience to start?
Absolutely not! Our kickboxing classes are designed for all fitness levels. Our certified instructors will guide you through proper form and technique, whether you're a complete beginner or have martial arts experience.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing (sports bra/tank top and leggings work great). We provide gloves for your first class, but you'll want to purchase your own pair after that. Bring water, a towel, and your energy!
How many calories will I burn?
Most members burn between 600-800 calories in a single 45-minute class! The high-intensity intervals combined with strength training create an incredible calorie-burning effect that continues even after class ends.
Will I get bulky from kickboxing?
No! Kickboxing creates lean, toned muscle definition rather than bulk. The combination of cardio and resistance training helps you burn fat while building strong, sculpted muscles. You'll get that athletic, toned look.
How often should I attend classes?
We recommend 3-4 classes per week for optimal results. This gives your body time to recover while maintaining consistency. Many members see significant changes in their fitness and physique within the first month!
